Mila's Keeper Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Blue Dot Rising, Inc., doing business as Mila's Keeper ("Mila's Keeper," "we," "us," "our"). We are a California corporation.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit milaskeeper.com (the "Site"), buy from us, sign up for our emails or texts, or contact us. It explains how we use that information, who receives it, and the choices you have.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Site.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Order information: name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and the items you buy. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment processors. We do not store full card numbers.
• Account information: your login email and order history, if you create an account.
• Marketing sign-ups: your email address or mobile number when you subscribe to our emails or texts.
• Customer support: what you send us by email, contact form or text, including your name and contact details.
• Reviews, referrals and affiliate sign-ups: your name, review content, photos you upload, and the details you provide to join our referral or affiliate program.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and the service providers listed in section 3 collect information about your device and your visit. This includes:

• IP address, approximate location, browser type, device type and time zone
• pages and products you view, links you click, items you add to your cart, and search terms you enter on the Site
• the website or ad that referred you
• how you move through a page, including clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, where session recording is active

Information from other sources

We may receive information about you from our service providers and advertising partners, such as whether you opened an email or interacted with one of our ads.

3. Cookies, pixels and session recording

We use cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies. Some are needed for the Site to work. Others help us understand how the Site is used, or measure and deliver advertising.

Your choice comes first. Where a cookie banner is shown to you, analytics, advertising and session recording tools do not load until you accept. If you decline, they stay off. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie preferences link in the Site footer.

Session recording. We use Microsoft Clarity to record how visitors interact with the Site, including clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, so we can find and fix problems. These recordings are sent to Microsoft. Clarity is designed to mask text typed into form fields by default.

Each provider handles information under its own privacy policy. Some, including Google, Meta and Microsoft, may use the information they receive for their own purposes, such as improving their services or advertising.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the Site, such as the cart, may not work if you block essential cookies.

4. How we use and share information

How we use it

• To take, fulfill and deliver your orders, and to handle returns and warranty requests
• To answer your questions and provide customer support
• To send order updates and, where you have signed up, marketing emails and texts
• To run our referral, affiliate and review programs
• To understand how the Site is used and to improve it
• To measure and deliver advertising
• To detect and prevent fraud, and to keep the Site secure
• To meet our legal obligations

Who we share it with

• Service providers that work on our behalf: our store platform, payment processors, shipping carriers and fulfillment partners, email and text providers, review, referral and analytics providers. The main ones are listed in section 3.
• Advertising partners, such as Google and Meta, which receive information about your visit through cookies and pixels so we can measure our ads and show them to people who have visited the Site.
• Authorities and others, when the law requires it, or when needed to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
• A successor business, if Mila's Keeper is involved in a merger, sale or transfer of assets.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Sharing information with advertising partners through cookies and pixels may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under some state laws. Section 5 explains how to opt out.

5. Your choices and rights

Cookies and tracking. Use the cookie banner or the cookie preferences link in the footer to accept or decline analytics, advertising and session recording.

Opt out of sale or sharing. Use the "Do not sell my info" link in the Site footer. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser as a request to opt out.

Marketing emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any email.

Marketing texts. Reply STOP to any text. See section 6.

Advertising on other platforms. You can adjust ad settings directly with Google and Meta in your account settings on those services.

California residents

Subject to legal limits, you have the right to:

• know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and to receive a copy
• ask us to delete your personal information
• ask us to correct inaccurate personal information
• opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
• not be treated differently for using these rights

To make a request, email customerlove@milaskeeper.com or write to the address in section 7. We will verify your identity using the information we hold about you, such as your email address and order details. You may use an authorized agent, who must show written permission from you.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 lets California residents ask for information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Send requests to the same contact details.

Residents of other US states

Depending on where you live, you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete and opt out of targeted advertising. Contact us the same way. If we decline your request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our response.

Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal information, to receive a portable copy, and to withdraw consent at any time. We rely on these legal bases: your consent, the performance of our contract with you, our legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in running and improving our business.

Your information is processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, transfers are covered by recognized safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Do Not Track. Browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting with no common standard. We respond to the Global Privacy Control signal instead, as described above.

6. Text message program

If you sign up for our texts, we use your mobile number and the information you provide to send you messages and to respond to you. We share it only with the platform providers, phone carriers and other vendors that help us deliver those messages.

We do not sell, rent, loan, trade, lease or otherwise transfer for profit any phone numbers or customer information collected through the text program to any third party. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing.

7. Retention, security, children, changes and contact

How long we keep information. We keep order and account records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements. We keep marketing contact details until you unsubscribe. Analytics and session recording data is kept for the periods set by each provider. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to legal limits.

Security. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No website or transmission is completely secure.

Children. The Site is not intended for anyone under 15. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites. The Site links to other websites and services. Their privacy practices are their own.

Changes. We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. We will post the new version here and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we will give more prominent notice.
