Dear Mamas Everywhere,
It is true what they say, it is the journey, not the destination that matters. Whether you are breastfeeding for the first time and it’s not going as natural as you thought it would. Or you are on edge about maintaining your milk supply as you return to work. Or you are feeling cabin fever from breastfeeding all day and just need a break. You need to know that first and foremost, you are not alone. As mamas we instinctively do what is best for our children, and more often than not, put them first before ourselves. So when we embark upon the breastfeeding journey, whether you made it to two weeks or two years, we are proud of one another, and support each other, hopefully making it just a little bit easier during our journey, however brief or long it is.
We are building Mila's Keeper so that we can help ensure your breast milk is as safe as possible so that you can pump wherever you need or desire. No more pumping and dumping! We will make it easier for you to pump and store milk in places you never thought possible before: the top of Mt. Everest or the Eiffel tower? A music concert or Jazzfest? A NYC celebrity charity gala or the red carpet? Camping under the stars in Joshua Tree or Mars?
Mila’s Keeper, we believe, will take you places you never knew you always wanted to go.
Before you take flight however, I’d like to give a huge shout-out to the AMAZING, all-female team that has made this happen, from our engineer to our patent lawyer and everyone in between: Stephanie, Megan, Amanda, Jordan, Michelle, Alyssa, Ashley, Amandeep, Andrea, Lindsey, Grace, Melissa and Halie. Thank you! These women make me so proud to share Mila’s Keeper with all of you mamas around the world.
Happy chillin’ wherever you go mama,
Lara
